
Dr. Erica Palin, MD is a Family Medicine physician who is joining the Sierra Vista Hospital Rural Health Clinic team. Dr. Palin grew up in a small rural town in Virginia. She received her undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. She went to medical school at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN where she received her Doctorate of Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine medical training at the Hidalgo Medical Services Family Medicine residency program in Silver City, NM where she focused on rural medicine.
“I like rural family medicine, because it is how I grew up. My entire family saw the same doctor. And he was just more than the local physician. He was part of the community. I knew that I wanted to do the same thing.”
Dr. Palin’s scope of practice includes all age groups, from Pediatrics to Geriatrics. She does Prenatal care, Women’s Health, birth control counseling, weight management, chronic disease management and annual physicals, just to list a few.
“I am very excited to be here at Sierra Vista. It is my hope that I be as useful as possible in helping this clinic, this hospital and be a help to this community.”

Dr Sonia Sefer is Board certified in Family Medicine, having attended medical school at University of Colorado-Denver and completing her residency in Family Medicine at Banner University in Phoenix Arizona. She has been in practice for 30+ years, in California, Texas, Colorado and most recently in Arizona. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and is excited to be a part of the community. She sees patients of all age groups and performs minor procedures. During her down time, she enjoys reading, gardening, music, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
