Mary has over 25 years of experience in the mental health field working with adults, children, couples and families with both mental health conditions and substance use issues.
She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Drama and English in 1981 at Ripon College in Ripon WI. She completed a Certificate in Addictions Studies and a MA degree in Human Development through St. Mary’s Graduate Center in 2000. In 2005, she completed her MSW degree through the University of MN and went on to the highest level of licensure in social work, attaining her LICSW in 2008.
Mary has completed training and attained a certificate in treating Gambling Addictions as well as attaining her LADC licensure. She served as the Program Director for Addictions Programming at Mayo Clinic at Rochester, MN from 1999 to 2003 and worked as an Addictions Specialist in the Chronic Pain Program there.
Mary has a lifelong career and interest in helping persons with co-occurring disorders and has developed several outpatient treatment programs. She has 15 years of hospital work and utilizes CBT, DBT and Trauma-based treatment modalities while working with adults, children, families and couples.
Her main treatment expertise and forte lies in working with substance use issues, gambling, depression, anxiety and psychotic disorders.
