Karen-Lynn Fiato, CNP, MSN, is certified as Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and was a certified Diabetes Educator. Most of her career has been with the University of New Mexico Hospital as a nurse practitioner in Pulmonary-Critical Care.

Her previous research and publications have been in the field of Adult Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis and Diabetes.

She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of New Mexico and her respiratory therapy program from Biosystems, Tempe, Arizona with clinical at Albany Medical Center. She has been Adjunct Faculty at the University of New Mexico College of Nursing and faculty at CNM and St Francis University. She was a member of the Advance Practice Advisory Committee with the New Mexico Board of Nursing from 2010 to 2016. She worked at Sierra Vista previously from 2015-2016 and returned to Sierra Vista again in 2018.
