NURSES & NURSING ASSISTANTS
Performs direct patient care tasks, such as monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collecting specimens under the supervision of a provider or mid-level practitioner. Key duties include documenting patient information, assisting with procedures, educating patients and families, and communicating any changes in patient condition to the healthcare team. Requires NM LPN licensure and BLS certification.
Provides patient care in an Emergency Room. Responsible for the planning, delivery, and management of direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice. Current RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required.
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions in a rural hospital setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care. Current RN license, BLS, and ACLS required.
Provides administrative, operational, and clinical oversight of hospital operations during designated night shifts, weekends, holidays, and other periods when department managers and senior leadership are not routinely onsite. The House Supervisor serves as the administrative representative of the hospital, ensuring safe patient care, appropriate staffing, regulatory compliance, and effective communication across departments. In addition to administrative responsibilities, the House Supervisor is expected to maintain a visible clinical presence and work alongside nursing staff as needed to support patient care activities, respond to staffing shortages, assist during periods of high patient volume, and provide clinical leadership during emergencies and critical situations. This position is not intended to replace departmental leadership. The House Supervisor provides immediate operational support and decision-making and appropriate notification of the Administrator-on-Call during off-hours while ensuring that departmental issues, employee performance concerns, operational challenges, quality concerns, and follow-up actions are communicated and referred to the appropriate department manager for resolution during normal business hours. PHARMACISTS
Provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care for a combined Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic, supporting inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and primary care services. This role ensures safe and effective medication use while maintaining compliance with New Mexico Board of Pharmacy rules, CMS CAH Conditions of Participation, and RHC federal regulations. The pharmacist collaborates closely with providers, nurses, and care teams across the hospital and clinic to improve medication safety, chronic disease management, and patient outcomes. PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy (RPh), Active New Mexico Pharmacist License, and BLS, ACLS, and PALS obtained within (6) six months of employment.

MEDICAL ASSISTANTS
Provides patient care in the office setting. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or physician. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures, and standards. Medical Assistant Certification and BLS required.

Responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operational performance of the Acute Care and Inpatient Swing Bed Departments within a Critical Access Hospital. This position provides clinical and administrative oversight to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, organizational policies, and budgetary expectations. The Manager promotes a culture of excellence, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in support of the hospital's mission and strategic goals. Due to the unique nature of rural healthcare and Critical Access Hospital operations, the Manager is expected to maintain clinical competency and provide direct patient care support when operational needs require. The Manager serves as a working leader and may work alongside nursing staff during periods of high patient volume, increased patient acuity, staffing shortages, emergencies, or other circumstances necessary to ensure safe and effective patient care. NM Registered Nurse License, BSN degree, BLS, and ACLS certification required. CNML or NE-BC certification required within 24 months of hire.

Due to the unique nature of rural healthcare, the ED Manager may also participate in hospital-wide emergency preparedness activities, trauma program oversight, and is expected to maintain clinical competency and provide direct patient care support when necessary. The Manager serves as a working leader and is expected to work alongside staff during periods of high patient volume, increased patient acuity, staffing shortages, emergencies, disasters, or other operational needs to ensure safe, timely, and effective patient care. NM Registered Nurse License, BSN degree, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certification required. CNML or NE-BC certification required within 24 months of hire.

Responsible for participating in and overseeing day-to-day security operations at a Sierra Vista Hospital, ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, providers, staff, and property. This role provides frontline leadership to the security team, coordinates emergency response activities, ensures regulatory compliance, and serves as a key partner in maintaining a calm, respectful, and healing environment in a rural healthcare setting. Current NM Security Guard Level II License (or higher) and BLS required.

kitchen & housekeeping
Prepares and cooks meals for patients, employees, and visitors working from established recipes, formulas and menu cycles. May have an assistant or help. Confers with the Dietary Manager or Dietician regarding food needs, modified diets, menu changes, etc. Operates commercial and large-scale cooking equipment and appliances.
