That’s because, when it comes to ultrasound at Sierra Vista Hospital, Gilbert IS the guy! He loves his work and his patients… his patients love him… and all of us at SVH are grateful that Gilbert has chosen to call SVH and Sierra County home! Gilbert’s unlikely path to SVH began in Puerto Rico, where he was born and lived until the age of five, at which time his family moved to New York.

GUNA ESUDASS: REACHING FOR THe sTARS! DECEMBER 2025

Growing up in a small, mountain town in southern India, Guna was encouraged by her parents – both teachers, now retired – to reach high. And that she did! Having just come to Sierra Vista Hospital from India in January of 2023, Guna was selected as SVH’s 2025 Nurse of the Year, receiving the prestigious Daisy Award, for which she is both grateful and humbled.
